Position Title
Assistant Professor
- Surgery (School of Medicine)
Cell-matrix interactions, biomaterials, mechanobiology, tissue engineering, medical devices
Dr. Hao focuses on exploring disease mechanisms and the interplays between cells and their extracellular environment, while developing cutting-edge tissue engineering tools/technologies and next-generation medical products for regenerative medicine and clinical therapies. The Hao Lab 1) develops bio-instructive materials and medical devices for cell culture, extracellular vesicle (EV) production, and disease treatment; 2) establishes biomimetic delivery systems of therapeutic agents (stem cells, EVs, drugs, genes, proteins, etc.) for clinical applications; 3) identifies biomolecules for tissue engineering and drug delivery/development; 4) engineers cells and EVs for regenerative medicine. Dr. Hao's team is dedicated to bridging advances in academic research with the manufacturing of biomedical technologies and products, while promoting their contributions to translational medicine (Bench to Bedside).
Accepting students per funding availability.
